APEX RELEASES NEW, IMPROVED VERSION OF GAGEMAP SENSOR PLACEMENT SOFTWARE

March 17, 2020

APEX Turbine Testing Technologies announced the latest release of their Sensor placement software, GageMap. The latest release provides the software with a complete graphical user interface makeover, giving users increased productivity through a better organized, more intuitive user interface.

A simplified file and project management system helps keep projects organized, while a more sensor-centric analysis process focuses on what GageMap does best. Other improvements to core functionality include better support for static load cases and improved mechanisms for model scaling and sensor scaling in both the sensor optimization and fatigue tasks. In addition to an overall improved design, GageMap now offers hot and cold geometry compensation, the ability to simultaneously analyze multiple models at once, and simultaneously analyze and compare sensor strains and stresses against fatigue margins. APEX will continue adding both new and legacy features to the new GUI as time progresses. The new GUI is also fully backwards compatible with older versions of GageMap, and any GageMap licenses will work for both versions.

“The latest release of our GageMap product focuses on sensor-centric analysis and makes all the things that GageMap does best front and center. We listened to our customer’s input and have incorporated much of it into the new GUI design which is more organized, simplified and has resulted in increased productivity during our BETA testing. The feedback we have already received from customers during BETA testing has been extremely positive and we are excited to release this new version to the market.”
